The new web site is designed to allow you to log onto www.brooklynprep.org without a user name or password and catch up on the latest news, photographs and videos about the Prep.

If you wish to obtain contact information about a classmate or update your own information you will still be required to log onto the secured area of the site. This area should look familiar as it will link you to the original BPAA database. This is required solely to protect the privacy of our Alumni's personal information.

New Features:

  • Under the NEWS section you will find a drop down for Memorials announcing the loss of a fellow Alumnus.
  • On every page of the new site in the left hand column under the BP seal you will find the date of the Upcoming Annual Dinner. If you click on this text you will be directed to a form that will allow you to purchase tickets online.
  • A Centennial Dinner section has been added to allow Alumni that were not able to attend the event to participate online. You will find stories, photos and videos of the speeches give by distinguished Alumni. Don't miss it! It is a highlight of the new site.
  • On every page page in the left hand column under the BP seal you will find text describing Linkedin. If you click on this text you will be linked to the social networking site Linkedin. Go to the Groups area on the site and look up BPAA - After providing your email address you will be invited to join the BPAA group. This link replaces the bulletin board section of the old site.
  • Under Alumni you will find a section Pay my Annual Dues Online for your convenience.
  • Under Scholarships a Ways to Give section has been added. This section describes the many ways that Alumni can continue helping needy students obtain a Jesuit education.
  • Also in the Scholarship section Letters from Recipients and Videos from Recipients have been added. These are clear examples of the way the BPAA has been able to make a difference. The video portion of this section has not yet been completed.
  • In the Scholarship section you will find a Financial Reporting and Charitable Status sections providing up to date information about the Rev John D Alexander SJ Endowment Fund.
  • Under the Scholarship section you will find the Make a Donation Online Now dropdown which will allow you to make a contribution online.
  • Access to the photos and stories accumulated over the years is still available. Go to Contact Info then BPAA Database and you will be linked to the old BPAA site. You may update your information and view many of the wonderful photos, stories and links.
  • In the Alumni section BPAA Statistics has been added which provides information about the BPAA membership.
  • Under Alumni the Future Honoree Suggestions has been added. The Board of the BPAA is always searching for Alumni that demonstrate in their personal lives the true ideals of a Christian life. Please help by forwarding information on candidates you think merit consideration.
  • In the Alumni section we have included a section for Lost Sheep. This is a listing of Alumni with whom we have lost contact. If you know of the whereabouts of any of these Alumni, please send whatever information you have to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • There are 2 new sections under BookStore:
    • BP Movie - this is a full length documentary produced by Carl Pinnaro '71
    • Last YearBook - this is a 63 page final YearBook created for the Centennial Dinner

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by contacting the BPAA office - the address is at the top of this page. A donation to the Endowment Fund is requested in lieu of payment. Full details are available under Bookstore.
  • In the Help section you will find the contact information for our volunteer WebStaff who stand ready to help in guiding you through the site. In additional you will find a FAQ's section that will hopefully address many of your concerns.

The new site will put additional demands upon the BPAA. We are looking for volunteers to help mange some of the sites new functions. BPAA 18th Annual Golf Outing - Thursday, September 19th

The BPAA Golf Outing, now in its 18th year is held at the Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford, NY. This year's Outing will be on Thursday, September 19th, 2019, please make plans now to gather your foursomes and join us for a wonderful day. If you can't get a foursome together please let Gene make arrangements for you to join a group. The Outing begins with a wonderful lunch on the patio, then 18 holes of golf followed by an open bar, fabulous dinner, and awards ceremony. In addition, everyone attending will receive a gift with the BP logo and details commemorating the event. If you are not a golfer please come join us for cocktails and dinner ($100.00). Please mark your calendar and join fellow Alumni for a great day on the links. The cost is $325.00 for the entire outing. All profits from the event are donated to the Rev John D. What does Joseph A. Califano Jr., the former special assistant to President Lyndon B. Johnson, have In common with John Dockery, the Jets' cornerback?

The same thing that Adm. George W. Anderson Jr., chief of naval operations and Ambassador to Portugal in the Kennedy Administration, shares with William Power Maloney, a lawyer for the underworld figure Joseph Bonanno.

All of them, like William Peter Blatty, the novelist who wrote the screenplay for “John Goldfarb Won't You Please Come Home,” and Kenneth H. Browne, who wrote the play “The Brig,” are alumni of Brooklyn Preparatory School.

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden had lunch at Dog Tag Bakery in Georgetown on Tuesday 8/3. Dog Tag, the Entrepreneurs School for Disabled Veterans, was founded by Our Honorary Alumnus of The Year in 2002, Father Rick Curry SJ.
