How do I pay my annual Alumni dues online?
Go to Alumni/Pay my Dues Online and you will be linked to a form that will allow you to pay your annual dues of $25.00 with a credit card.

What new features are available on the web site?
Check on the Home page for a complete listing of the expanded capabilities of the web site. 

Do I need to update my contact information on the new web site if my information hasn't changed?
No - we are still using the original AMDG database which contains all Alumni contact info.

Do I need special software to view the online videos?
The software already on you computer will most likely allow you to view the videos. If you are having difficulties you may wish to download Adobe Flash Player 7. 

One of our fellow Alumni has had a tremendous career and deserves consideration to be nominated for Alumnus of the Year. How do I make the BPAA aware of this Alumnus's achievements?

How do I contact a classmate?
First - make sure that your contact information is up to date by going to Contact Info/BPAA Database and ensure that you contact info is accurate.  When you are verifying your own contact information while in the BPAA database you may request information on Classmates that graduated in your same year.  You may print this contact information for your convenience. If you are having difficulty you may send an email to the BPAA at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.and one of our WebStaff will assist you.

How do I update my info?
Click on Contact Info then BPAA Database and you will be directed to the old BPAA web site to the Alumni database.  Alumni contact information is not shared with anyone that did not attend Brooklyn Prep.

Is my personal information safe in the BPAA database?
Please understand that the BPAA takes the issue of privacy very seriously. We attempt to qualify all requests for Alumni contact information and refuse all commercial requests. It has been the longstanding policy of the BPAA that your contact information will only be shared with Classmates from your graduating year.

How do I post info about a Classmates death?

A posting will be made in the Memorials section of the web site under News. Information concerning the death of those that are not Brooklyn Prep graduates will not be disseminated. 

How do I contact my Classmates for the purposes of a reunion?
You may obtain a listing of Classmates from your graduating class by going to Contact Info/BPAA Database. You will be directed to the old BPAA website to the BPAA database. You will find links for accessing your Classmates contact information. You may then print this contact information.

How do I submit photos and information for posting on the web site about an Alumni event?

How do I make a donation to the Scholarship Fund online?
Click to the heading Scholarships and go to Make a Gift Online. A form will appear that allows you to make a tax deductible donation with a credit card.

How do I purchase tickets for the Annual Dinner online?
Click on the link you will find in the left-hand column of every page under the BP seal. A form will appear that allows you to purchase tickets with a credit card. Tickets for the Annual Dinner are $95.00. For your convenience, you may also pay your annual dues by credit card in this section. Please remember to list the year you graduated.

How do I purchase tickets for the Annual Dinner by mail?
In the normal BPAA correspondence that you receive in the Spring and Fall a form is enclosed that allows you to purchase tickets. If you would like to purchase tickets today follow the instruction above for purchasing tickets online or send a note to the following address specifying the number of tickets requested and your year of graduation. Tickets for the Annual Dinner are $95.00 each which includes an open bar and dinner.

How are my dues and donations to the BPAA used?
Your donations and dues are used to support the Rev John D. Alexander SJ Scholarship Fund which provides tuition support for needy students attending Jesuit High Schools within the New York Jesuit Province. Additional information on the Endowment Fund is available under Scholarships.

If I have a general question - how do I get an answer?
Please remember that the BPAA has a part-time staff that only works a few hours a week. In an effort to address our Alumnus's concerns and questions more quickly we ask that you send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. How can I stay in touch with other BP Alumni? Is there an Internet forum or blog?
BP Alumni with registered email addresses can log onto www.Linkedin.com register their email address and go to Groups and find the Brooklyn Prep Alumni Association. Linkedin is a commercial site that facilitates professional communication among many Alumni groups around the country. You can register a request to become a member of the Brooklyn Prep Alumni Association. This will then allow you to post information and join the ongoing BP discussion group. The official BPAA does not monitor or take any responsibility for any of the activities on this site. We offer this link for the convenience and benefit of our Alumni. You will find a link in the left-hand column of every page on the site under the BP seal. Click on that link to be directed to http://www.linkedin.com/  

If I played a sport at BP may I receive a listing of fellow Alumni teammates?
Sorry - The BP database cannot sort specific lists of team sports participants. You might try contacting these specific Alumni groups on Linkedin.

I miss viewing all the photos, stories and links that we had on the old BP web site. Is there a way I can still access this information?
Yes - Go to Contact Info/BPAA Database and after logging into the database you will have access to all of this information.

 



 


 

These are the unsung heroes of the BP website. They spend tireless hours attempting to keep the web site current and effective. Our current WebMaster, Bernie Noonan '62, has been assisting Father Dan Fitzpatrick, for many years and has taken over responsibility for the weekly updates needed on our site. Bernie Noonan '62 has helped hundreds of our Alumni reconnect with classmates to organize regional dinners and meetings.

What does Joseph A. Califano Jr., the former special assistant to President Lyndon B. Johnson, have In common with John Dockery, the Jets' cornerback?

The same thing that Adm. George W. Anderson Jr., chief of naval operations and Ambassador to Portugal in the Kennedy Administration, shares with William Power Maloney, a lawyer for the underworld figure Joseph Bonanno.

All of them, like William Peter Blatty, the novelist who wrote the screenplay for “John Goldfarb Won't You Please Come Home,” and Kenneth H. Browne, who wrote the play “The Brig,” are alumni of Brooklyn Preparatory School.
