Celebrating the Memory of Father Jack Alexander, SJ
BPAA Golf Outing - Thursday, September 19, 2019

The BPAA Golf Outing, now in its 18th year is held at the Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford, NY. This year's Outing will be on Thursday, September 19th with a rain date of Thursday, September 26th, please make plans now to gather your foursomes and join us for a wonderful day. If you can't get a foursome together please let Gene or Dave make arrangements for you to join a group. The Outing begins with a wonderful lunch on the patio, then 18 holes of golf followed by an open bar, fabulous dinner, and awards ceremony. In addition, everyone attending will receive a gift with the BP logo and details commemorating the event. If you are not a golfer please come join us for cocktails and dinner ($100.00). 

Please mark your calendar and join fellow Alumni for a great day on the links. The cost is $325.00 for the entire outing. All profits from the event are donated to the Rev John D. Alexander, SJ Endowment Fund.

New York City - Major Deegan Expressway North, becomes New York State Thruway, I-87. Continue to exit 8, take I-287 East (Cross Westchester Expressway), to exit 4, route 100A (North). Left turn, proceed North on 100A approximately 700 feet, turn left into Knollwood.

Long Island - Take Whitestone Bridge and proceed on Hutchinson River Parkway to I-287 Westbound (Cross Westchester Expressway), towards White Plains. Continue to exit 4, route 100A (North). Turn right, proceed North on 100A approximately 500 feet, turn left into Knollwood.

Connecticut - Merritt Parkway or New England Thruway, I-95 to I-287 (Cross Westchester Expressway), proceed Westbound to exit 4, route 100A (North). Turn right, proceed North on 100A approximately 500 feet, turn left into Knollwood.

New Jersey - From the Holland Tunnel or George Washington Bridge, proceed on West Side Highway to Saw Mill River Parkway then proceed as shown in the map above. I-287 East to exit 4, route 100A (North). Left turn, proceed North on 100A approximately 700 feet, turn left into Knollwood.
Also, Garden State Parkway, north to New York State Thruway, then east across the Tappan Zee Bridge to I-287 East, to exit 4 100A (North), left turn onto 100A proceed North on 100A approximately 700 feet, turn left into Knollwood road. (see map above).

What does Joseph A. Califano Jr., the former special assistant to President Lyndon B. Johnson, have In common with John Dockery, the Jets' cornerback?

The same thing that Adm. George W. Anderson Jr., chief of naval operations and Ambassador to Portugal in the Kennedy Administration, shares with William Power Maloney, a lawyer for the underworld figure Joseph Bonanno.

All of them, like William Peter Blatty, the novelist who wrote the screenplay for “John Goldfarb Won't You Please Come Home,” and Kenneth H. Browne, who wrote the play “The Brig,” are alumni of Brooklyn Preparatory School.

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden had lunch at Dog Tag Bakery in Georgetown on Tuesday 8/3. Dog Tag, the Entrepreneurs School for Disabled Veterans, was founded by Our Honorary Alumnus of The Year in 2002, Father Rick Curry SJ.
